Inflammation is the immune systems way of defending against infection and disease. Sometimes your body can be thrown-out-of-balance by the foods we consume, pollutants or the lifestyle you lead.
This can cause the immune system to produce excess inflammation and difficulties will develop. Sometimes these problems start off slowly and are not apparent for several years. Sooner or later inflammation will catch up to you and this will become apparent with problems appearing such as Arthritis.
Besides Arthritis, inflammation can cause cancer, heart disease, lupus, Alzheimer's and other serious diseases.
As you know drugs have unwanted side effects and can create problems that are worse than what they are treating. There are options such as diet, exercise and supplementation that can help without these side effects.
As with most health problems, inflammation can be brought under control by being in balance with nature. It's clear that the percentage of illnesses today is far greater than past generations. This is due to convenient fast foods, processed food and pollutants in our food and water, as well as all the prescriptions we take for diseases that didn't even exist 50 years ago.
What puts you at greater risk for inflammation?
Obesity: Being overweight causes inflammation because the fat cells produce cytokines. Cytokine is a protein which encourages inflammation. This can further lead to diabetes.
Diet: A diet consisting of prepared foods, overcooked foods and fast food will start a landslide to bury you in inflammation and other health problems.
Cooking at high temperatures will oxidize fats which help produce compounds called "glycotoxins". This is the beginning of damaging free radicals which not only increase inflammation but ages you faster.
Excess sugars, refined flour, starches and saturated fats are undermining your health by causing inflammation.
An unbalanced ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 can be a problem as well. Most western diets have too much omega-6. To adjust for this add omega-3 to your diet. You could eat more healthy fish with low mercury content or take omega-3 fish oil.
How can you decrease unwanted inflammation?
Lifestyle: You can beat the battle against inflammation by changing your lifestyle.
What are the most important things that you can start on right now?
Lose weight in a healthy way by exercising regularly. Start eating normal portions again and make sure you eat healthier and smarter.
Go for walks or join a gym. In any case get moving and you will to see tremendous results.
Diet: You want to cut out all of the negative foods such as processed and fast foods. Watch your portions and eat mostly fresh organic food. Be sure to eat some raw fruits and vegetables as well. Add nuts and seeds to your diet and you are well on your way to recovery.
Here is a list of foods that may help control inflammation: Salmon (or fish oil with omega-3) Garlic Onion Ginger Blueberries Acerola Cherries Lemons Raspberries Strawberries Kale Turnip Greens Spinach Sweet Potatoes Curry Quercitin Resveratrol
A good quality dark chocolate also has beneficial properties. Make sure it has little sugar content and go easy.
In summary
Make sure you have a healthy omega-3 to 6 ratio
If you are overweight then start losing it in a healthy way
Eat a healthy diet full of nutritious food such as fish, nuts, fruits and vegetables
Unstress
Stay away from processed and fast foods
Cut back on sugar and refined foods
Don't overcook food
Make quality friends
Be happy
Consider a natural supplement
You can stop inflammation by starting now. This is the beginning of a healthier you!

The Sure Shot Cures For Sleep Apnea
By Bhikoo Rajesh
If you are suffering from severe sleep apnea disorder then the best way out of this suffering is sleep apnea surgery. In sleep apnea, a person experiences interrupted breathing and one episode can long for 10 seconds or more. The patient wakes up gasping for breath and this sudden episodic lack of oxygen in the body can lead to dire consequences like heart failure.
Causes And Types Of Sleeping Apnea Disorder
There are two types of sleeping apnea disorders:
The first one is the Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) that is caused when an overgrown tissue at the back of the throat obstructs normal airflow in the air passage. OSA is the most common form of sleep apnea and is often regarded as hereditary. Obesity can also cause Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Disorder in the central nervous system causes central sleep apnea.
Curing Sleep Apnea
Start treating sleep apnea in its budding stage so that you can restore your health with easy apnea treatment. If you neglect the disease, it can turn lethal with time. Sleep apnea surgery then becomes the only way of treating complicated sleep apnea problems.
In a sleep apnea surgery the extra issue at the rear of the throat obstructing the air passage is removed by surgical procedures. However, sleep apnea surgery may not be successful at one attempt and you may have to be under knife more than once. Your doctor takes the final decision to conduct surgery and the number of times it has to be conducted.
The Four Main Types Of Sleep Apnea Surgery
There are chiefly four types of sleep apnea surgery:
Laser Assisted Uvulapalatoplasty (LAUP): Laser removes the part of the soft palate, shortens the uvula and removes the extra tissue from the pharynx. But LAUP is a new entry in the sleep apnea surgery arena and effectuality of the process is yet to be established.
Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP): UPPP is considered the most effective treatment with a tall success rate and is the most widely used surgery for sleep apnea treatment. This surgery is undertaken to eliminate the extra tissues that are blocking the air passages to broaden the passage for proper breathing.
Tracheostomy: This surgical procedure is a winning method but for grave situations only and is not used until utterly demanded. In tracheostomy a hole is made into the trachea and a tube is inserted below the obstruction spot. During sleeping time, the tube is opened to keep the air passage clear ensuring obstacle-free breathing.
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA): In Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) surgery, the extra tissues jamming the air passage are removed by using Radiofrequency. This surgery is mostly used on children.
Instead of fearing sleep apnea surgery and spending sleepless nights, it is better to consult your physician who will guide you rightly.

Is This Acid Reflux Or Heart Problems?
By William Dittman
The typical cause of heartburn or acid reflux is when acid from the stomach backs up into the esophagus. Indeed for most people, a proper eating habit may help fixing the heartburn problem. Though heartburn is the most common of the acid reflux disease symptoms, other signs may also manifest themselves.
Although heartburn usually goes away, the bad news is that it is usually a lifelong problem that will eventually return. Acid reflux symptoms can range from mild heartburn to pain that can feel like you're having a heart attack. If the heartburn comes back often and you wake up with acid refluxes you should see this as a warning signal.
Acid reflux symptoms can range from mild heartburn to pain so bad you think you may be having a heart attack. If, however, you have a simple case of acid reflux, there are some changes you can make to your lifestyle to help keep heartburn to a minimum or possible eliminating it all together. Smoking can also increase heartburn symptoms.
Worst still, heartburn tends to rear its ugly head at night. Painful, chronic persistent heartburn that lasts three or more months and occurs at least twice each and every week is often diagnosed as Acid Reflux Disease or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Heartburn may be a problem during exercise.
Treatment
Again, always consult a physician on treatment options whether you experience signs of acid reflux or possible heart related problems. Some people, however, fail to respond to treatment with PPIs and H2 blockers and their only option are more radical drugs known as promotility agents. For more information and in-depth analysis of the treatment of acid reflux, visit Acid Reflux Treatment.
Though there are a number of acid reflux symptoms, there are also a variety of effective treatment plans for this condition. There are various acid reflux symptoms and treatment plans. Heartburn, a sour or bitter taste in the mouth or back of the throat and difficulty swallowing are the most common acid reflux symptoms and treatment may include prescription and over the counter medications, dietary and lifestyle changes or botanical and herbal remedies.

Skin Tag Removal – Silent Facts And What You Can Do
By Davion Wong
Skin tag removal can be considered once you have a deeper understanding of what skin tags really are and the impact they leave on the individual’s health and wellbeing. In this article, you will learn about what are the causes of skin tag and what are the available treatment methods for you should you suffer from multiple skin tags.
A skin tag is a small skin growth or tumor that develops on normal skin. They are attached to the skin by thin tissues called stalks or peduncles, and are normally a few millimeters in thickness. They can have the same colour as the surrounding skin or are slightly pigmented. Skin tags would commonly be found on the neck, armpits, eyelids, under the breasts, groin or genital areas and under skin folds where frequent abrasion takes place.
Skin tags, medically known as acrochordons are generally harmless and non malignant like other skin abnormalities that could possibility become cancerous. They would appear without noticeable symptoms as well.
Some people are more prone to suffer from skin tags. Researchers have found out that skin tag occurrence could be attributed to several factors. Fat or obesity seems to be a major factor as skin tags are commonly found in obese folks. This could be due largely to the excessive skin folds they have. Skin tags have also been observed in pregnant women probably for the same reason. Age does have a role to play. Older people tend to have more skin tags when they progress in age. It is reported that skin tags occurrence could be passed down from one generation to another, ie hereditary. Even gender would affect the tendency of developing skin tags. Women tend to have a higher propensity to develop ugly skin tags.
Since they are benign and does not have an adverse impact on the health of the individual, people may wish to ignore them. However, in some cases, the sufferer could have multiple skin tags in huge numbers. They can be aesthetically undesirable and affect the overall appearance of the person. Imagine how one would look like with clusters of tightly spaced skin tags dangling in obvious visible body parts like the eye lids and neck? Very few people can accept and tolerate their existence in such circumstances. These poor victims would also fall prey to low self-esteem as they lose confidence in their physical appearances.
There is yet another group of individuals who would prefer to have the skin tags removed for another reason. Remember that these skin tags often occur underneath the skin folds and on the neck, and other body parts that come into close contact with the clothing we wear? A lot of abrasion or skin friction takes place and can be rather irritating and uncomfortable. They may even interfere with our daily activities such as playing sports, or just about any physical movements. Skin tag removal is obviously necessary.
In summary, there are several widely accepted methods of removing those skin tags, such as freezing the tag and stalk by cryotherapy, burning off the skin tags by a process called cauterization, or stopping the blood supply to each skin tag by binding the peduncle and letting them die off in weeks. The skin tags can also be surgically cut off with scissors or a scalpel at the dermatologist’s clinic. Finally, there are other effective and natural methods which you will find out in my subsequent articles.

Deyhydration May Be Your Health Problem
By Timothy Holcomb
Indigestion, ulcers, kidney problems, urinary tract infections, fatigue, dry skin, headaches, constipation, joint problems... The list could go on and on. What do all these ailments have in common? If you have any of these conditions, it very well could be dehydration, which is more common than people realize.
"Dehydration" means not taking enough water into the body. If you are not drinking at least one quart for every 50 pounds of body weight, then you are not giving your body enough of the vital "fluid of life" we call water.
Most people would ask "Why is water so important?" Normally the body is made up of more than 70 percent water. The body needs water to carry out its many functions, including formation of blood and lymph to carry nutrients and oxygen to every cell of the body and to take away wastes and carbon dioxide that can accumulate to toxic levels if not eliminated.
Consider that at least 66 percent, or two-thirds, of Americans don't drink enough water, and 10 percent don't drink any water at all. Most people take better care of their car than they do their own body. They wouldn't dare run their car's engine without water and motor oil. But a car is just a machine that wears out and is then discarded. A person's body should be more important to them than that.
Water is essential, just like breathing air. Our body can go without food for much longer than it can without water. So water is fundamental to being healthy. Taking in enough clean water should be the first thing to consider when adopting a program to improve health, before anything else, including nutrition and vitamins. Without water, no other health measure will have much benefit.
For those who refuse to take in enough water, eventually it will catch up with them when their body begins to break down and one or more of the symptoms listed above show up. Then they will want a magic pill to try and fix things, or maybe then they will start to listen to their body. Can you hear your body calling: "Water. Please, give me water."

Is There Possibly A Natural Cure For Aids?
By Jonathan G Michel
Back in the days when Aids was talked about every day (about 5 + years ago), it seemed logical that by now they would have found a cure. As recent as last week, on national TV, I was shocked to find out that in a survey amongst our youths in colleges and high schools, that they practiced unprotected sex because they're under the impression that Aids can now be cured or at the very least controlled.
It seems to me that someone has failed in 'public awareness'. First and foremost, I doubt if our youths even understand what 'Aids' stands for. The translation is 'Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome'. Let's leave out two words, Acquired and Syndrome, and focus on Immuno-Deficiency. The word 'Immuno' stems from the word 'Immune' and 'Deficiency' speaks for itself. So broadly speaking, your immune system is deficient or not strong enough to ward off diseases, many diseases, but the most common associated with Aids, being some form of cancer.
The HIV virus, which is the virus that is depleting your immune system, basically allows one to catch anything as as simple as a common cold which doesn't go away, develops into different variations of pneumonia, candida, other forms of diseases, including sarcoma cancer etc. It is said that symptoms of Aids vary from diarrhea, sudden loss of weight, fevers and rashes, swollen glands etc.
It still amazes me today, that given the statistics on Aids around the globe, much of which can be found on the internet, that people in general still don't understand why the variations of sicknesses from one country to another. Before 1993, on or about the year they finally labeled the problem, the predominant disease in a certain country was associated with that countries lifestyle. As the HIV virus gained strenght, obviously you had more people getting sick of that same disease, whether it was pneumonia in Africa or cancer in the USA, because more people's immune system was being affected by the mutating HIV virus.
Now of course, this is just my view and I'm no medical doctor or researcher. I'm just a very arguementative, logical, and analytical person who hates BS, when it comes to issues of the general public's awareness and welfare. Aids is not even a disease per say. It is a virus which affects the immune system in such a way that the human body becomes more susceptible to getting all forms of known diseases. In other words, one person having sarcoma cancer without the HIV virus is said to have 'cancer', while the other with sarcoma with the HIV virus is said to have Aids, which brought on his sarcoma!
Is this confusing to you? It should be since it even baffles the medical community and researchers on Aids. But here is what most people don't know, because it is not extensively being made known or getting enough attention as it should. Experts agree, including the co-founder of Aids, that increasing 'glutathion' levels in your cells naturally, builds-up your immune system. They also said, that in experimental research and clinical studies, high levels of 'glutathion' in your cells demonstrated convincing results in the treatment of major diseases, including aids, cancers, and high-grade bacterial infections. Actually, studies with advanced cancer patients in Canada and Japan confirmed earlier studies which demonstrated significant reductions in the size and incidence of malignant tumors.
Now, that tells me that someone is purposely withholding information to the general public, at least on a wide scale. I'm not at liberty, short of being threatened or sued, to disclose any more information online. But your guess, I'm sure, is an accurate one.

Four Ways to Stop Snoring
By Liam Edwards
Snoring is a very unsociable condition that can cause many sleepless nights for those not afflicted.
Making your spouse or partner suffer through snoring does not have to continue however.
Here are four inexpensive methods to help you stop snoring. Maybe you can find something that will work for you here before you consider more costly remedies.
Try Sleeping Supine
A lot of people snore simply because they sleep with their mouths open. When the nasal passages and throat vibrate the familiar snoring sound escapes through the mouth.
When a snorer sleeps on their stomach however, it forces them to sleep with their mouths closed. The throat and nasal passages still vibrate, but the noise has nowhere to go, thus no snoring and peaceful sleep for all.
Lubricate The Nasal Passages
A more severe form of vibration and in turn snoring, is caused when the nasal passages are dry. This usually occurs from sleeping with your mouth open or when you are suffering from a cold.
Try using a lubricating throat spray, this can help moisturize the throat and nasal passages thus relieving the vibration. This method is a great alternative for people who do not want to deal with uncomfortable or expensive stop snoring devices.
Use A Nasal Separator
A nasal separator is a small stop snoring device that fits into both the nostrils and lifts them outwards.
This opens up the airway and allows more air through. Getting more air to flow through is one way to lessen the amount of vibration. This device looks similar to a nose plug, that works in reverse.
Use Pillows
This method is really simple, place a pillow in between your legs and sleep on your side.
Although this may be uncomfortable at first, sleeping on your side helps you to keep your mouth closed. This traps the sound of the vibrations, keeping them from getting out and keeping your partner awake.
This is perhaps one of the easiest and cheapest ways to stop snoring. It avoids having to purchase an expensive stop snoring device and utilizes something that you already have around your house, a pillow.
These four ways to stop snoring are all simple and inexpensive. You should certainly try these before you look for more expensive remedies such as those available at you local pharmacy or physician.

What Is The Cause Of Low Blood Pressure?

What Is The Cause Of Low Blood Pressure?
While you may know and understand the health risks behind having high blood pressure, not too many people know that low blood pressure can be a serious health problem of its own. So, what is behind the cause of low blood pressure? Here's a closer look.
Low blood pressure, which is also called Hypotension, will be diagnosed whenever blood pressure readings remain below 90/60 on a consistent basis. Why is this a problem? We all want lower blood pressure. While that is true, having too low of a reading can cause dizziness, lightheadedness and fainting. In severe cases it can lead to low blood flow to the brain which in turn can lead to shock and heart attacks.
What Are The Common Causes Of Low Blood Pressure?
Antidepressants - Are you taking antidepressants? If so, different ones can cause all sorts of different reactions within your body. Talk to your doctor about any changes in your health when taking various prescription drugs.
High Blood Pressure Medication - This is a big culprit. When you're being given medications to control your high blood pressure, often times it can lead to low blood pressure. That is why follow up visits with your doctor are so important when starting any new treatment program.
Alcohol - If you're not aware, drinking alcohol can have a dangerous effect on your blood pressure.
Heart Medications - Diuretics - Anti-Anxiety Medications - All of these can lead to a dramatic drop in blood pressure readings and must be monitored carefully.
Some other causes of low blood pressure can be:
Dehydration - Heart Attack - Fainting - Shock - Low Blood Sugar - Diabetes
One of the more common causes is not related to having a medical condition, but it can be from getting up suddenly from a lying down position. This can easily happen quite often to anyone and is not in and of itself an area of concern.
If you do experience any of these causes of low blood pressure, call your doctor or health care provider immediately. Let them know what is going on as this can be a signal of more serious issues.

Can Vitamins Reduce The Risk Of Heart Disease?
by Ng Peng Hock
The interest in Vitamins A, C, and E stems from their antioxidant properties. Antioxidants interfere with the complex process through which LDL cholesterol starts plaque formation. Some animal studies and at least one human study also suggested that Vitamin C can improve the level of protective HDL cholesterol.
Antioxidants are molecules that work to reduce the damage done to cells and to DNA by free radicals: charged particles found in the environment and caused by everyday biological processes. It is clear that foods with rich antioxidants can reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease, and scientists have been working to isolate the particular compounds responsible.
But, people who hope vitamins can protect their hearts actually need to eat healthy foods instead of popping pills, according to the statement made by the American Heart Association in August 2004.
A group of researchers, led by Professor Penny Kris-Etherton from Pennsylvania State University, had conducted a review of various studies on whether supplements can reduce heart disease risk. The results of the study, published in the journal Circulation, actually showed that vitamin pills have virtually no effect on reducing the risk of heart disease. There is little reason to advice individuals to take antioxidant supplements such as A and C to reduce cardiovascular disease.
Several research studies have also shown that people who took antioxidant supplements did not have a lower risk of cancer or heart disease, and one important Finnish study showed that male smokers who took supplements actually had a higher risk of lung cancer.
In another study conducted by the researchers at the Cleveland Clinic (CCF) had found that vitamin E did not actually provide any benefit in lowering mortality compared to control treatments, and it did not significantly decrease the risk of cardiovascular death or stroke. The lack of any beneficial effect was seen consistently regardless of the doses of vitamins used and the diversity of the patient populations. Therefore, the CCF researchers conclude that their study does not support the routine use of vitamin E.
All the studies mentioned above do not show any evidence that could support the fact that use of "vitamin supplements" such as A, C and E can benefit people with heart disease. Nonetheless, it is unarguable that the antioxidant properties of these vitamins do provide beneficial effect to reduce risk of heart disease.
Nutritionists and doctors now argued that it is probably a combination of compounds in foods that give the healthy antioxidant benefits. As such, the American Heart Association continues to promote a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, legumes, poultry and lean meats to derive antioxidant vitamin benefits.
